been a busy week.. my weekend was spent sleeping + studying (or trying very hard to, but not v productive) and i sat for my competency exam on monday. dun feel v competent. the qns that he sat are really ____. its day 3 of me covering the renal + infectious disease + general ward. triple faints. but not too bad. hope i dun kill anyone. anyways. i think its hard to study and work at the same time. so pls, everyone, do NOT consider part-time masters. unless u hv the determination of a cow chewing grass.

to unwind, the ex-preregs + our newcomers angeline & szemian went for jiat's farewell dinner at holland village. the funniest thing is tt hy & jess was closing shop so everyone hung ard and close shop tog. tt was very chaotic. alot of shouting. dinner was funny, we were having a great time impersonating mr yong, reminiscing abt our times in cancer centre where we hv lunch & mug at the same time. stress to the ultimatum. then there was a period of solemn silence. then david said 'imagine i was alone for 2 days' and we all shrieked with laughter cos hy was so stressed tt she fell sick with 2 days mc. and david called her at night and whined 'when are u coming back'. oh hahhaaha. those days. i'm glad i trained with a bunch of crazy ppl. roses + the thorn

today yeeng asked me if i regretted not being with my pharm sisters in TT. and i'm cool with that. i hv a great team here, and the grass is still brown on the other side too. heh. but its gd tt we gals are meeting up fortnightly. really super duper look forward to our outings. today we went to timbre @ substation, my 2nd time there to hear EIC. its a nice place cos its al fresco and can see the leaves, and gentle breeze. except tonight the gentle breeze had falling wet leaves and some raindrops. xq just lie back and look at the sky. i laugh. huirei staring at a guy. no la. she absorbed in the music. yeeng & lijie in some intellectual talk. bride dresses, travel, cost of living, how to make genuine frens. long island tea. nice EIC. tt time at johanna's farewell it was only a half-man-band so today i'm quite satisfied. and they played Wonderwall and also my Eagle Eye Cherry song.

also there was this new band, this lady with a marvellous voice and a boy. on our way back yeeng & i spotted her at her car & decided to compliment her. actually its their first time performing so tonight was actually an audition.. hope i made her day. its just like how some patients bother to say thankyou, go and pay up, then walk past u to thank u again. heart feels warm.

al- in (Indo-European roots) + fresco, fresh.

so al fresco is italian for in the fresh (air). funny how some english words fail to convey certain meanings. like the hokkien word siap-siap. 'i eat this cheesy pasta until very siap-siap'. and that was not a english sentence. think my teacher would faint at my english. singlish is so easy to pick up.

yeeng has a pretty green frilly top. i realise i dun hv green clothes except for 2 green skirts. which hardly match with anything. poo.
